Alfred J. Fantini, 80, formerly of West Reading, died March 11 at 9:15 p.m. in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where he had resided since Jan. 13.

He was the husband of Felamina (Ciervo) Fantini, also a resident at the Mifflin Center.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Grazio and Grazia (Salvatore) Fantini.

Fantini was employed for 311/2 years as a packer by Reading Tube Corp., Ontelaunee Township, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Fantini is also survived by a brother, Pasquale, and a sister, Yolanda (Fantini) Jones, both of Reading.

He was predeceased by a stepson, Lewis V. Listrani, in October 2001.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
