Alfred J. Capkovic

Alfred J. Capkovic, 90, of Wyomissing, passed away on September 26, 2008 in Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring.

He was the husband of Marian L. (Philips) Capkovic.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Zavis) Capkovic.

He was a 1949 graduate of Temple University where he earned a B.S. in Business.

Alfred was employed by Birdsboro Steel as a traffic manager retiring in 1987.

He was a past President of the Berks County Traffic Club.

Alfred was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

He was an Army veteran of WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gary A. Capkovic, Gaithersburg, Md.

Other survivors include a brother, Edward Capkovic, West Chester; and two nieces, Nancy O'Brien and Mary Lou Kendus.

Services will be Monday at 1:00p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private in East Berlin Union Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the church. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
