Alberta J. Boyd

Alberta J. (Kirkendall) Boyd, 79, died of natural causes February 24th in the Topton Lutheran Home, where she had been since September 1999.

She was the widow of James W. Boyd, who died September 24, 1988.

Born in Athens, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Jessie (Dewey) Kirkendall.

She was a member of United Pentecostal Church, Athens, Ohio.

Boyd was employed as a cook for 30 years for the Athens City (Ohio) Schools.

She was a 1944 graduate of Athens City (Ohio) Schools.

Boyd is survived by two sons, Roger Boyd of Fleetwood and James Boyd of Gallipolis, Ohio.

Other survivors include two grandsons and one great grandson.

She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Judith E. (Moody) Boyd, who died February 12, 1998.
