Albert E. Schukraft, 77, died Dec. 2 at 6 a.m. in his residence on Fleetwood Avenue, Fleetwood.
He was the husband of Roberta A. (Hilbert) Schukraft.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Gustav A. and Anna (Bregler) Schukraft.
Schukraft was employed from 1955 to 1966 as a carpenter by Stahlers Woodworking, Fleetwood, and was last employed for 25 years as a carpenter by the Dries Building Supply, Macungie, Lehigh County, retiring in 1991. He worked part-time for Tarsus Inc., Fleetwood, since 1992, last working Monday.
He was a member of the board of directors at Tarsus.
Schukraft was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville, where he was a member of church council and a past financial officer.
Schukraft was a 1944 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
He was a second assistant fire chief of the Fleetwood Fire Company.
Schukraft was life member of the Berks County Firemen's Association.
He is also survived by a daughter, Cynthia A. Schukraft, Fleetwood; and two sons, Scott A., Dallas, Luzerne County, and Kevin L., Fleetwood.
Other survivors include two brothers, Gustav W., Fleetwood, and Charles, Pottstown.
There are also five grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Walter R. Christ funeral. Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
