Albert "Rusty" Russel Lord, Jr., 86, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Albert R. Lord, Sr. and Helen W. (Westcott) Lord. Rusty owned and ran JR Handyman from 1983 until his retirement in 2016. He also served his country in the US Marines earning the rank of Gunnery Sergeant over his 20 years of service. He was stationed in Lebanon, San Juan, PR, Buckner Bay, Japan, and Vietnam and served in the Vietnam War.

Rusty enjoyed camping and bowling, averaging 200 most games and once bowled a perfect 300. He played football and basketball while in the Marines. Rusty was a boy scout as a child and that love of the outdoors stayed with him.

Rusty is survived by his children: Laura, Alex, and April, his sister, Evelyn "Dolly" Davis, and his friends, Barbara and Joan.

He was predeceased by his son, Brian, and brother, Gene.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. with a service to begin at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.

Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League at 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
