Albert S. Rodgers, 75 of Hamburg died December 5th in his home. He was the husband of Rosalie A. (Yanek) Rodgers to whom he was married to for 46 years. Albert was born in Mahanoy City December 30, 1937 and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Lestusky) Rodgers. He was a 1955 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and a graduate of Williamsport Technical School. H e attended the U.S. Army Ordinance Guided Missile School at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama and assisted in launching two Redstone Missiles. Albert served proudly in the United States Army in Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked for Dana Corporation for 32 years as an Electrical Electronic Technician. He was a member of St. Mary R.C. Church and its Holy Name Society. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 children, Sharon Rodgers, Baltimore, MD., and Scott of Philadelphia and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Leonard Rodgers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from St. Mary Church, 94 Walnut Road, PO Box 189, Hamburg, PA. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the church from 9:30 until 11:00 AM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the memorial fund of the church at the above address or The American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA. 22312.
