Albert Charles Kovacs, Sr., 63, of Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, died after a long illness January 10, 2009 in Hospice of Lancaster County, where he was admitted earlier that morning.
He was married May 6, 1967 to Barbara Ann (Serban) Kovacs.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey on March 6, 1945, he was a son of the late John Joseph Kovacs and Mary Margaret (Nemeth) Kovacs.
He was a 1964 graduate of Cathedral High School, Trenton.
Albert was an Army National Guard Veteran.
He was a member of St. Benedict's R.C. Church, where he was a past president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Albert was employed six years in counter sales with New Holland Concrete, last working in November.
He is also survived by three sons: Albert C. Jr., husband of Irene (Naghdi) Kovacs of Indianapolis, IN., Gregory J. Kovacs of St. Petersburg, FL. and Michael K. Kovacs of Timonium, MD.
Other survivors include four grandchildren and two sisters: Margie (Kovacs), wife of Robert Ashline of Champlain, New York and Eleanor (Kovacs), wife of Walter Dornfest of Fayetteville, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 am in St. Benedict's R.C. Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, (Robeson Twp.) Mohnton, PA 19540, with the Rev. Philip Rodgers celebrating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be private in Lady of Lords Cemetery, Trenton, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, Albert's wishes were to have contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society for the poor and mailed to the church at the above address. Edward J.
