Albert E. Klingeman

Albert E. Klingeman, 86, a resident of the Highlands at Wyomissing, formerly of Old Mill Road, Wyomissing, died July 10 at 12:55 a.m. in the Highlands at Wyomissing Skilled Nursing Unit, where he had been a patient since May 24.

He was the husband of Kathryn J. (McGovern) Klingeman, also a resident of the Highlands at Wyomissing.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George W. and Lillian (Guy) Klingeman.

Klingeman was employed for 40 years as an auditor, purchasing agent and director of the graphics department by VF Corp., Wyomissing. He was last employed as vice president of H.D. Lee Co., Kansas City, Mo., a division of the VF Corp, retiring Dec. 31, 1979.

He was a 1933 graduate of Reading High School and a 1938 graduate of the Wharton Evening School of Finance. He received a bachelor's degree in economics in 1946 from the Wharton school.

Klingeman also attended the graduate school of arts and sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, Albright College and Penn State Berks Campus.

He had been a president of Pi Delta Epsilon at the University of Pennsylvania.

Klingeman is also survived by a brother, Donald G., Geigertown; and a sister, Florence M. (Klingeman) Reichart, a resident at Berks Heim.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
