Albert Cirulli, 88, residing at Columbia Cottage, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 surrounded by his children in Reading Hospital under Heartland Hospice Care.
He was the husband of Constance M. (Patti) Cirulli, who passed away July 24, 2013.
Born June 23, 1925 in Reading, he was the son of the late Nicolo and Angelina (Fabrizio) Cirulli.
Albert was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served August 1943 to April 1946 in the Pacific, Okinawa, and China.
He worked for Brown Trailer, a division of Clark Equipment, and after they closed he worked for the Medical Arts Building in maintenance.
Albert is survived by his daughter Diann M., wife of Richard F. Turner, Laureldale and his son, Gary A., husband of Connie M. Cirulli, Sinking Spring. Also surviving are his two grandsons: Steven Paul, husband of Korissa (Gift) Turner, Reading and Matthew Cirulli, Sinking Spring; his granddaughter: Brandi Lynn (Turner), wife of Michael Essler, Phoenix, AZ and his four great-grandchildren: Isabella Grace Essler, Ava Sophia Essler, Aiden Michael Turner and Gianna Marie Turner. He is also survived by his sister, Philomena Sallade, Reading.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by two sisters: Mary Lebo and Elizabeth Dato, and a brother, Guerino Cirulli.
Albert was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250.
