Albert H. Berkenstock, 88, of Chestnut Street, West Reading, died Feb. 4 at 1:05 a.m. in Berks Heim Annex, where he had resided since July 2.
He was the husband of Arline M. (Levan) Berkenstock.
Born in Sinking Spring, he was a son of the late David L. and Stella E. (Gottshall) Berkenstock.
Berkenstock was employed for 35 years as a clerk by the Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, retiring in 1977.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Berkenstock is also survived by a son, Barry B., Schuylkill Haven; and a daughter, Marie E. (Berkenstock) Behney, Robesonia.
Other survivors include a sister, Ethel (Berkenstock) Heagy, Kenhorst; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
