Aida I. Calderon

Aida Iris Calderon (Jimenez), age 77, passed away on April 26, 2025, with her two daughters by her side.

Aida was born on February 18, 1948, a daughter of the late Virginia Krassner-Jimenez (Lopez) and Francisco Jimenez in Moca, Puerto Rico. Aida was married to the late Juan Calderon. She is survived by sons Luis Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, and daughters Virginia Calderon, and Maryann Feliciano (Gonzalez), wife of Orlando Feliciano. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Felicia and Luis Gonzalez, daughter and son of Luis and the late Michele Gonzalez, Michael and Christopher Feliciano Sr, sons of Maryann and Orlando Feliciano, Joseph Rentas, son of Virginia Calderon, Sarah and Jennifer Gonzalez, daughters of Jose Gonzalez. She was also blessed with 8 great grandchildren. Aida had 2 brothers, William and Wilson Jimenez and a sister Elidia Jimenez-Lopez.

She was extremely proud of her heritage and loved to cook and eat Spanish food. Her arroz con gandules was legendary! Aida was blessed with the gift of rhythm and loved to dance. Although Aida was short in stature, she more than made up for it with her big personality. She was outgoing and friendly with a good sense of humor. She loved red roses, shopping on QVC, and watching her telenovelas. Family was everything to Aida, she absolutely adored them and loved spending quality time. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Dios de bendiga.

Friends and family may gather on Thursday, May 1st at Kuhn Funeral Home, 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a prayer service. Burial follows in Laureldale Cemetery. Aida loved flowers. Flowers may be sent to the Kuhn Funeral Home, or you can plant a tree via our website obituary.
