Adolph V. Dilginis, 83, formerly of Old Wyomissing Road, died March 9 at 11:42 p.m. in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where he had resided since September.
His wife, Regina A. (Bonkavage) Dilginis, died in November 2003.
Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late William and Josephine (Kaledas) Dilginis.
Dilginis was employed for 30 years by Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in January 1980.
He was a 1938 graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Dilginis was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.
An Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross medals.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Robert A. Dilginis, in 1976.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
