Adam B. Swigart Jr. went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2012.

Born on July 7, 1928 in Blueball, Pennsylvania, Adam was the son of the late Adam B. Swigart Sr. and Mary (Zinn) Swigart. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 ½ years, Lola (Wood) Swigart. He is survived by his son, Steven B., husband of Karen Swigart, Douglassville and their two children -Megan E. and Steven A.- and two daughters, Kimberlee D. Swigart of Birdsboro and Michele (Swigart) Uhrich, wife of Bill Uhrich of Reading.

Adam grew up and spent most of his life in Honey Brook, graduating from Honey Brook High School in 1946. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 and was a life member of the Honey Brook VFW. Adam married Lola (Wood) Swigart in 1951. He received his master plumber certificate from the Department of Industrial Education in 1956. Adam's career as a master plumber spanned over 5 decades in Honey Brook, where he owned and operated his plumbing business. He loved being a plumber and serving the community in this capacity. Over the many years of doing work that he found so gratifying, Adam made many friendships that lasted a lifetime.

His genuine love of life and caring nature for everyone he came to know were attributes that symbolized his character. He adored his family and was always there for them. Adam was a man with an infectious smile, a sincere personality, and a keen sense of humor. His zest for life and selfless generosity will be long remembered.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday 6 to 9 p.m. in Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Burial will be private.
