A. Virginia Glosser, 95, of Phoebe Berks, Wernersville, died December 30, 2008 in the Reading Hospital.

Born April 1, 1913 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. and Maude M. (Jones) Renninger.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Dr. William E. Glosser December 16, 2001. She is survived by her sons, William E. Glosser, III, husband of Nancy, Novato, CA; Paul J. Glosser, Dubai U.A.E.; and her daughters, Martha L., wife of Michael Lehane, Osterville, Mass.; Susan L., wife of Robert Drake, Wyomissing; Virginia L., wife of Ronald Stufflet, Cumru Twp.; and Ann E., wife of James Houck, Wyomissing.

She is also survived by her brother, James Renninger, husband of Joyce, Fayetteville, PA; and her sister, Madeline, wife of Ward Monn, McDonough, GA. There are also ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Virginia was precedeased by her son, Andrew J. Glosser.

She was a member of Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ.

Virginia graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1930 and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1936. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Albright College in February 1955 and a Master's Equivalency from the PA Dept. of Education in 1976.

She was employed as a clinical instructor for the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She last worked as a school nurse at the Governor Mifflin Junior/Senior High School, retiring in 1976.

She was an active volunteer and advocate for many local community and professional groups including the local chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.).

Memorial Services will be held Saturday at noon at Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ. Burial will be private at Hain's Church Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
